Media Uploads

Please don’t upload gross or disturbing images, and while you’re at it please don’t upload anything with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. If you do people who visit the website can download and extract any location data from images you post. If you’re interested in cybersecurity education and you don’t know what EXIF data is, you should probably read up on it. Other than that, no one, unless someone offers us at least 10 million dollars and then we’ll sell out faster than you can blink. If that occurs well definitely update this page and let you know, we will also share photos with you of us popping champagne. We will not include the EXIF metadata so you can’t ruin our party…

 

How Long Do We Retain “Your” Data?

Is this really your data? I live in the US, and we don’t care about data privacy here… If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
